Additional Methods

Patients may occasionally need an additional therapy called electrical stimulation. Pads are placed on the body and a small amount of electrical current is used to speed the healing process and help relieve pain. It can also help reduce swelling and inflammation. This is often used with cold therapy for maximum benefit.

Dr. Mulcahey will happily refer you to a massage therapist, a medical doctor or a specialist for additional tests or treatment whenever the need or desire for those services would be helpful for your overall treatment plan.
